I've been having this discussion with a lot of people, so today it only seem logical for me to blog about priorities. First off, I am a person who needs to have a plan. I really don't like to do things sporadically, I need to have some outline to follow. I don't have to follow it perfectly, but I need to have some sort of plan. Second, and my family can attest to this, but I do NOT like to spend money. Matter of fact I'm the go to person when someone needs to borrow money. With those things being said, it really bothers me when people do things when they know they do not have the funds, or motives to do such things.
How many times have you went to a store, looked at something, knew you really didn't need it, nor do you have/should spend your money on it? We have all done it, even I, miserly Elizabeth has done this. There is a difference though in doing this sometimes, to doing it often. Why do some feel the need to constantly spend money they do not have, and why do they feel that they cannot wait to get something? I don't know maybe its just me, but I cannot and will not put myself in the position where I have to choose between food, clothing, shelter, or any other basic necessities of life. If you want something and you are meant to have it, keep it, love it etc, then you can wait till you have your feet on the ground to get it. That's just my opinion though. I just don't get it, it scares the Bejesus out of me, and I don't understand why others feel its okay to worry about if they will have food for tomorrow, or be able to pay electric bill, or pay cell phone bills, to put gas in their car, to do anything like. Im not saying people who don't have jobs and are using every penny to make things legitimately work. I'm talking about people who do stupid things with their money, because they feel the need to do things now.
People need to stop living in I need it now, whatever it may be, that great shirt, those cute shoes, that perfect tv, that wedding of your dreams..anything, and start thinking about the big picture. Yes, living in the now can be great, you are grabbing life by its balls and having the time of your life, but to me you need to look at the big picture. People need to see the obstacles that can await them if they become to free spirited with their possessions and money. It can come back and bite you in the ass..and its sad to say that I have witnessed this. So correct me if im wrong about this whole thing..but this is my take on it. I guess this is it for now
peace!
